Sushi Shogun

From September 2010 until Februari 2011 I’ve worked on the Sushi Shogun project as Lead Game Director and Animator. The game was developed for Android as a single-player Action-arcade game. Players tilt their phone to navigate the game world. Recources can be accuired by robbery and can be lost to enemies. In a puzzle-minigame the player can combine ingredients to create sushi. The goal is to find and create every sushi in the game and earn the Sushi Shogun trophy.

Sushi Shogun was created with a focus on motion. The game was meant to reduce the chances of sufering from RSI in kids. The hand motions are required to play the game. Every specific action has to be performed with the phone as a tool to create optimal variation in wrist and hand motion. Minimal use of buttons is implemented to prevent stressful repetative motion.
