Project Blanc

While graduating I started working with a team on my first indie game concept: Project Blanc. The game was planned to become a turn-based strategy game with a three-dimensional level board. Images of the first “paper” prototype can be seen below.

The game was played on a battlegrid with variable height levels. The game world could be altered by the player’s actions. Each player controls four units. At the start of the game, each player was allowed to chose three abilities for each unit. The units were capable of moving, attacking or altering the world according to the abilities the player chose.

We did a lot of playtesting and had great fun with it. Below in another game setup. The numbers indicate het height levels. The coloured dots are the units and in the charts on the left and right are the corresponding abilities. Each player controls four units and a VIP which had to be protected. The yellow and purple dots indicate a VIP.

Sadly, the game was never finished due to a lack of time during graduation. However, I would love to do this one day.
